Five New Beauty Products to Try in 2017

It seems as if every day there’s a new beauty product that screams my name.  Here are a few that I am really looking forward to trying out this year!

Smashbox Spotlight Palettes – The Casey Holmes Collaboration ($35) – Smashbox just launched a highlighter palette in collaboration with YouTube star Casey Holmes.  If you follow Casey on social media, you would know that she has been working on a beauty product for months now that has just been released.  They are two highlighter palettes – Pearl and Gold.  Both of the palettes contain three highlighters and they are too pretty to pass up!   Today Casey’s subscribers were able to buy them on the Smashbox website for $35 and they have already sold out!  I believe these are limited editions, as most collaborations are, so go buy them while you can.  I cannot wait to get my hands on the Gold palette because I think it would look nice with my skin tone.  They will be available available on March 3rd on the Sephora website, as well as in stores.  They will eventually be available for purchase in Macy’s and Ulta later in March.

Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey Eyeshadow Palette ($36) – Too Faced has created another Peanut Butter themed eyeshadow palette.  As most of the brand’s eyeshadow palettes are scented, we can expect that this one will also smell like the theme of the palette.  I personally love the Peanut Butter and Jelly Eyeshadow palette that Too Faced previously launched.  This palette contains nine shades, including the Peanut Butter shade that was in the original Peanut Butter and Jelly palette.  I am pretty excited for this new palette, which is available on the Ulta website today if you are a platinum member.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed- Prismatic Amethyst ($38) – Becca just launched the latest addition to their Shimmering Skin Perfector line.  The Prismatic Amethyst is a pale lavender shade and looks absolutely stunning.  I am a huge fan of the brand’s Shimmering Skin Perfectors, so I am pretty excited for this new shade.  It is currently available to purchase on the Sephora website if you are a VIB or Rouge member, but will be available to everyone on February 22nd.  It will also be available in stores sometime in March.

Lancome La Rose Blush Poudrer ($60) – Lancome’s new La Rose Blush Poudrer is a part of the brand’s limited edition Rose collection.  Sitting inside a 1950’s inspired French Bijou box is a gorgeous pink flower that is a powdered highlighter.  According to Lancome’s website, the powder is dispersed between the rose petals inside the box! I think this powder is stunning and too pretty to use! I contemplated purchasing this product but I am not sure how pigmented the powder actually is or whether it would even show on my skin tone.  It’s definitely something I would have to swatch in store to see if it is worth splurging $60.

Sigma 3DHD Blender ($15) – I am actually really excited for this product to hit the market.  I am super loyal to my beautyblender Pro; however, this new Sigma Blender looks incredible.  Not only does it have a round edge and a pointy tip, similar to the beautyblender, but it also has several flat sides.  The best part is that it will only cost $15, so it’s super affordable.  It does not go on sale until February 27, but you can sign up to be on their waitlist now.

Let me know if in the comments below if you have purchased any of the above or plan to!
